CUMBERLAND
- A house at 13415 Adaline Drive was destroyed by fire on Sunday, according
to Deputy State Fire Marshal Mike Mattingly. The owners, Douglas and Kelley
Wolfe, were not home at the time of the fire, which was reported by a
neighbor around 11 a.m., said Mattingly.The
fire caused an estimated $150,000 damage to the house, which was insured,
according to Mattingly. The cause of the
fire, which began in the attic, remains under investigation.
The family is being assisted by local relatives. Several pets inside the
home were rescued, Mattingly said. Firefighters
were at the scene approximately five hours. Bedford Road, LaVale, Corriganville, Ellerslie, Frostburg, Wiley Ford, Bowling Green, Cresaptown, Flintstone, Baltimore Pike, District 16, Bowman's Addition and Cumberland Valley fire departments, ambulances from Flintstone and LaVale and an air rescue truck from Clarysville responded to the call.
