| On a Thursday evening on 3-17-05 around 7:25 we got call to a working appartment fire at 5 National Highway. We went enroute with an Engin-tanker and Engine Rescue, Chief 2 got on scene and advised a working appartment fire with possible entrapment. Engine-tanker 6 picked up the hydrant at the side entrance of Cumberland Concrete and made an attack on the second floor and chief 2 advised all occupants were out of the building just after that several firetrucks sounded to warn firefighters inside the building to evacuate.The fire was considered under control at 10:02 p.m and firefighters were on the scene for several hours after that. Units responding included LaVale, Corriganville, Ellerslie, Frostburg, Bowmans Addition, Cresaptown, Cumberland, Mt. Savage, Midland, Shaft. |
